W. Edwards Deming

“Quality is the responsibility of everyone.”

What is improvement?

Improvement is the continuous process of making something better or more effective. It involves identifying areas for improvement, analysing data, developing solutions, and implementing changes. Improvement is essential for healthcare organisations to continue to deliver high-quality patient care.

What is implementation?

Implementation is the process of putting a plan or idea into action. It involves translating plans into specific tasks, assigning responsibilities, and managing resources to achieve desired outcomes. Implementation is a critical phase of any project or initiative, as it determines whether the intended benefits are realized.

In Cardiff and Vale UHB, a blended approach of many different methodologies, The CAV Way, is the framework used to guide improvement and implementation projects.
