Describe your job in three words?

Supporting exciting change

What are you enjoying working on right now?

‘How to run pilots in Cardiff and Vale UHB’ - a package of resources that will support our staff to confidently and safely deliver innovative pilots studies, whilst collecting important data to support a business case for successful procurement where appropriate.

What do you love about working within Shaping Change?

The team, the diverse projects and opportunities to really make a different for our patient’s and workforce.

The most challenging part of your role?

Wanting to do more than the hours available in the week will allow!

How would you describe what Shaping Change do to a colleague that knew nothing about our team and the work we do?

A hugely experienced team, devoted to supporting transformation in Cardiff and Vale UHB; from small projects, to large strategic change and everything in between.

Who would you most like to swap places with for the day?

My dog, a nice walk and big nap would be perfect for a day.

What did you want to grow up to be when you were a child?

A nurse, from the age of about 7-8. 40’odd years on I am still registered.

Last book you read? If you haven’t got one, favourite musician or artist?

Home Fire by Kamila Shamsie

What are you looking forward to this year?

Heading back out to Calais to give Humanitarian first aid in the refugee camps. May sound strange but I get to hang out with a couple of my best friends for a few days, meet the most inspiring, resilient people and regain a sense of reality and perception. It’s my annual reset time.

Tell us something we don’t know about you?

I was spotted running by Steve Ovetts coach, Harry Wilson who then offered to coach me. It was a loooong time ago!
